SAS

2009-2010 SAS licenses are available. New pricing and order process are available via The Scholar's Workstation.

SAS licenses are made available to UC Berkeley departments through a purchase agreement negotiated by the Office of the President. This agreement does not currently include licenses for Windows 64 bit processors. UCOP is accessing interest in this platform. Please contact Technology Acquisition and Sales, 642-8424 if you are interested in UCOP negotiating Windows 64 bit licenses into the SAS agreement.

SAS licenses are available for UC Berkeley department purchases through Technology Acquisition and Sales' TSW Store for Departments web site. After you have purchased a license for SAS through, you will receive an e-mail with confirmation of your purchase and instructions on how to download and install the SAS software bundle.

UC Berkeley Students may purchase a Student EAS Bundle Workstation License by completing a CARS billing authorization form and a "home use agreement". You can fax to 510.6423.6201 or drop off the form at our demo center in MLK next to the Cal Student Store.

Windows System Requirements

Refer to SAS Supported Operating Environments for information on supported operating systems. Note: At this time SAS will not run on Windows 7. SAS is working on this issue. Also, SAS has not typically supported Home versions of Windows.

Macintosh

SAS is NOT available for Mac OSX. If you wish to run SAS on an Apple computer, you may be able to do so by running SAS for Windows in a virtualized Windows environment using a program such as Bootcamp, Parallels, or VMWare. There is no support available under this option.
